Teacher Greeter Team

Welcome to UNIS from Your Teacher Greeters!

We would like to welcome you to a dynamic and exciting international school and teaching environment. We congratulate you on choosing UNIS as your next overseas posting.

Hanoi is a dynamic and lively city with an incredible number of local and international restaurants and bars, theatres, and opportunities to immerse yourself in local culture, yet there are also many comforts from home. Vietnam is an amazing country to explore as it has beautiful untouched beaches, fast-paced cities, numerous UNESCO world heritage sites, and a vast number of ethnic minority groups.

UNIS Hanoi is an amazing school with a truly international group of students and staff. One of our greatest strengths is our teacher body, composed of approximately 20 different nationalities of caring, committed, and very passionate individuals. Teaching at UNIS is extremely collaborative and colleagues work closely in committees and departments to create an effective teaching and learning environment.

Tran Kim Dung

ES Vietnamese Language Teacher

Xin chào. My name is Dung (pronounced Zung) and I am from Hanoi, Vietnam. I have spent most of my teaching career at UNIS Hanoi. I feel so fortunate to have the opportunity to work in such a diverse and inspiring teaching environment.

As a Hanoian, I can not wait to show you around Hanoi, my hometown. Hanoi is a very busy, but tranquil city in its own way. There are a lot of things that could help you to spend your time in a meaningful and relaxing way. During my free time, I enjoy doing some yoga,  listening to music and spending time with my family. I have two daughters, Ha is studying in at the University of Finland and Trang is in Grade 11 at UNIS.

I am so glad to be part of the teacher greeter team and I hope I can help you and your family to have a smooth settling in Hanoi. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Morgan Dobroski

HS Learning Support Teacher

Hello! My name is Morgan Dobroski, and I am originally from Illinois and Iowa, USA. I have taught in the United States and Thailand before moving to Vietnam in 2022.

There is so much to love about Vietnam: the friendly people, delicious food, and gorgeous travel destinations. I am part of the Secondary Learning Support team here at UNIS Hanoi and teach our Grade 11 and 12 DP students. My husband, Billy Schofield, is currently finishing up his PGCE at UNIS. After school, we love exploring on our motorbikes, going to the gym, and eating at local spots. We also enjoy visiting nearby national parks and cafes around Hanoi on the weekends.

I am excited to support all of you in your transition to Hanoi, Vietnam!

Kimber Coté

MS Technology & Innovation Coach

Hi! I'm Kimber Coté, and I am originally from California, USA. I have worked in public, private, charter and international schools across the US, Malaysia, and now in Vietnam. I moved to Vietnam with my cat, Savannah, in summer of 2023, so I'm not far behind all of you.

One thing that I'm still amazed by in Hanoi, is that I can be on a busy street one second, surrounded by high-rises, with motos buzzing by, and just a couple turns later I can be on a quiet lane overhung with trees. Whether you want to live like a local, or prefer the comforts of home, there's truly something for everyone!

I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you, and am excited to help you make Hanoi your home.
