Hanoi is a dynamic and lively city with an incredible number of local and international restaurants and bars, theatres, and opportunities to immerse yourself in local culture, yet there are also many comforts from home. Vietnam is an amazing country to explore as it has beautiful untouched beaches, fast-paced cities, numerous UNESCO world heritage sites, and a vast number of ethnic minority groups.
UNIS Hanoi is an amazing school with a truly international group of students and staff. One of our greatest strengths is our teacher body, composed of over 20 different nationalities of caring, committed, and very passionate individuals. Teaching at UNIS is extremely collaborative and colleagues work closely in committees and departments to create an effective teaching and learning environment.

Hi!!! I’m Katie, and I am an MYP Design Teacher as well as a Technology/Innovation coach. I am from Montreal, Canada. I have been at UNIS for 2 years. Previously, I taught in Phnom Penh, Cambodia as well as Montreal.
I am an avid traveler with a particular interest in wildlife. I recently had the privilege of seeing wild gorillas in Uganda and tigers in India.
It's a pleasure to welcome you to UNIS and Hanoi! Get ready to discover and enjoy this amazing city, which offers so much to experience, especially the food!

Xin chào! I am Mai. I’m proud to have been part of the UNIS Hanoi community for 16 years, including 8 years as a floating TA. My experience spans the entire Elementary school, from EY to Grade 5, as well as working with Specialists and Kids Club.
Born and raised in Hanoi, I live here surrounded by my family and a deep love for my roots. I’m an avid traveler- my husband and I have been exploring mountains and seas around Vietnam, and we completed an adventurous 4-day motorbike trek to Hue last December.
I am delighted to be your Greeter this year. I can’t wait to share the beauty of my hometown’s culture with you and ensure you feel right at home at UNIS.

Hello! I am Jenny, a Grade 2 teacher at UNIS. I am from Christchurch, New Zealand, and have lived in Vietnam for the past 8 years with my cat, Evie. This is my second year at UNIS, and I have worked at two other international schools in Vietnam.
I love Vietnam so much and am excited for you to start your next adventure here. Hanoi has so many wonderful things to offer, from a bustling city life to easy weekend getaways to nature.
I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you, and am excited to help you make Hanoi your home.
